The Carn Brea Open Meet 2010
We are pleased to be able to announce Carn Brea's 25th Silver Jubilee Open Meet to be held on Saturday 2nd October at Penzance Leisure Centre.
As last year, we have had to agree to a level 3 licence, but would like to assure all visiting clubs that in spite of this, our meet continues to be held at the same standard as it has always been, with cut off times at National Qualifying times. As last year, we will be using the same level of officials, (with five licensed referees on poolside) so the quality of the meet will be the same. And we will be extending the same warm welcome to all visiting clubs, no matter how big or small, as we have always done. We have again negotiated with Penzance Pool to start this year's meet at the earlier time of 9.15 warm up for a 10.15 start.

This is a friendly meet, ideal for “bench marking” or achieving qualifying times for the coming competitive season.
The Carn Brea Open Meet 2009
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our annual Open Meet on Saturday 3rd October. Despite having to reluctantly agree to a level 3 licence this year, due to the ASA's new strategy for its licensed meets, there were 16 visiting clubs resulting in a record breaking day with nearly 50 new Competition Best Times. The atmosphere was fantastic and congratulations to all the swimmers for some great swims.
Many thanks must also go to the officials, without whom the event could not take place, and to the many poolside helpers who facilitate the smooth running of a meet.

Once again this annual level 2 meet proved popular & provided swimmers with a great opportunity to bench mark for the coming season. A great day was had by all, and the Penzance Leisure Centre seemed to be very popular & offered an ideal venue.

The Carn Brea Open Meet 2006
This annual meet took place on Saturday 7th October 2006 and gave over 200 club members from across the South West the ideal opportunity to set a "bench-mark" for the coming competitive season.
The day ran very smoothly with many new competition best times being set & a great deal of fun being had by all. Many thanks goes to BUFF who kindly supported the 2006 Open Meet by supplying a BUFF for each & every competitor, these went down a storm & were very popular. The guys from Swim Snaps were excellent, very friendly & helpful and the pictures are excellent. Thanks to everyone who attended the meet whether to compete or simply support, we look forward to your return in 2007.
