Social events & fund raising
CBSC Aims to provide a wide range of social activities to ensure that members are able to develop friendships outside of the pool environment. Activities which we hope to organise in 2006 /07 include; Diving, Go Karting and 10 pin bowling. If you have a good idea for a social and/or fund raising event please see any committee member.
Ships & Castles Leisure Pool - July 07
CBSC members, brothers, sisters, friends and family members are all invited to attend this fun pool for a club social event on Saturday 7TH July 2007. CBSC will hire the entire pool from 5:00 – 6:00pm for a 60 min fun session with flume, wave machine and river rapids. If you would like to attend you must complete this booking form. Booking forms must be returned with full payment and handed in by no later than Wednesday 4th July 2007. The cost per person is just £3.00 for juniors (those under 18) and £4 for seniors – us oldies!
Ships and Castles have asked that we ensure anyone 5 years or under is accompanied by an adult* on a ratio of 1:1, for those between the ages of 6 – 8 on a 1:2 basis and over 8 can swim alone, provided they are confident to do so. *(An Adult is someone over the age of 18 years)
The maximum number of people allowed is 200! So places are plentiful, it would be great to see you all there! If you would like to download and print a booking form for this event please Click here
Easter presentation evening 2007 All club members, family & friends are invited to join us on Saturday 31st March 2007 at Redruth Cricket Club for a social & presentation evening. The evening will begin with the presentation of medals won during our Club Sprint Championships event in 2006 & “sprint squad” hats & certificates shortly after 6:00pm. After presentations food, drink and games will continue until late.
We sincerely hope to see all club members at this event at which our Easter raffle will be drawn! This is a great opportunity for members to socialise outside of the pool environment and for parents to meet committee members, poolside helpers and each other! We hope to see you all @ Redruth Cricket Club.
October half term activities 06 CBSC took a group on members diving in Plymouth on Monday 23rd October 9:00am – 3:00pm. Members were split in to two age groups: 11 & under and 12 & over. After the diving we took them for a shopping trip in Plymouth. After the success of this trip we will definitely repeat this in 2007. (02/10/2006)
2006 Swim Marathon
The Lions Club of West Cornwall once again hosted the annual Swim-marathon at Carn Brea Leisure Centre on Sunday 19th March 2006. The 2006 event started at 5:00pm and CBSC entered 9 teams. This sponsored event will be raising money for both the Cornish Motor Neurone Disease Association and CBSC. Last year CBSC came away winners in two out of three categories, this year we came away with all three! CBSC will give a prize to the person raising the most in sponsorship. (20/05/2006)

CBSC hired the entire pool from 6:00 – 7:30pm for a 90 min fun session with flume, wave machine and river rapids. We hope to repeat this activity again during the winter term. (20/10/2006)
